I’m Mary!
I am a (newly) southern california based multidisciplinary conceptual designer/art director. With my background in recruiting and design operations that sparked an extreme love for craft and high creative standard. This makes me me uniquely capable to serve as a great asset to teams I work with and the clients I work for.
I can ideate, create and execute, project manage and produce projects, campaigns and brand identities. I am a product of A Wieden + Kennedy and New York City where I was formed as a creative + human. I hope to bring that same magic + energy that has inspired me into all of my work.
After spending 6+ Years in the New York Agency world. I felt compelled and empowered to take the jump and create my own studio. Thus Hellacute22 Design was born. My studio’s goal is to fulfill the dream of making pretty & cheecky things that bring the world a little more joy. Creating pieces of work and helping brands/clients conceptualize and visually connect with the world around them.

The Ask: CLient’s asked us to look at the way they were showing up visually as a brand in their own created content and organically. They wanted to find a new point of view visually that would set Michelob Ultra apart from competitors.

Both Kraft Real Mayo and Juicy Couture are all about being 'velvety smooth', making them an odd yet perfect match.
Our Smooth Lover's collection includes a tracksuit, a tube top for the human, and a tube top for the jar to match.
Influencers even get a special pink mayo jar.
To pay homage to prime Juicy days in the 90s, we staged
our own paparazzi shoot for the lookbook.

150 Small Batch Letterpress manifestos were created for #cargirls across the Ford Community. And served as the center of costume packages.
The Ask:
Find a way to increase online engagment + paid subscriptions to the Brands Paid Substack Subscription.
Creative Solution:
Kept the weekly Substack Articles Free and not behind a paywall.
But created a reason for readers to want to interact within the online community. Designed a printed Mindfulness Journal that was sent to each costumer as an add on to thier paid substack subscription, in additon to 1 monthly mindfullness zoom check in with the Circle of Harmony Team.

Spent two years working on the Budlight account. Created end cards, campaign assets, created product labels, pitched conceptual work, styled onset. I worked across the entire brand portfolio, Bud Light, Bud Light Seltzer, Budlight Next.
Worked on both 2021 Super Bowl Campaigns.
